“To be responsible, keep your promises to others. To be successful, keep your promises to yourself.”
Many of us are SO good at being responsible--at keeping our promises to our families, our employers and coworkers, our community members....
But when it comes to keeping those commitments to ourselves, we can tend to let those slide, or at least put them in the backseat behind our commitments to everyone else.
Yes, we are being responsible to those we love and care about, and that's always a good thing.
But what about us?
Our needs count, too. We count, too.
And in order to feel happy, healthy, fulfilled and satisfied, we need to fulfill our commitments to ourselves--to our own health, welfare and happiness.
So how are you going to be successful today?
Why does it matter to you--as in, why is this commitment important to you?
And what will you do tomorrow to make sure you're keeping your promises to yourself?
Don't just be responsible. Be SUCCESSFUL.
